Venetian Artworks was founded by John Ernst, a union trained painter and taper with a deep respect for traditional finish work. What began as a skilled trades background grew into a focus on Venetian plaster, an art form where preparation, movement, layering, and polishing all matter.
Every surface is approached as a custom piece. John studies the room, lighting, architecture, and the look you want before building a finish layer by layer.
From polished Grassello and Marmorino to textured lime finishes, feature walls, ceilings, and fireplaces, the goal is always the same: depth, character, and craftsmanship that ordinary paint cannot reproduce.
